Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Wow, first day of opening this wine reflected a tight frame with some florality, lanolin and citrus, but after 5 days of opening, it has mellowed, with candied citrus, white stonefruit, and a hint of tropical fruit, with a hint of spice on the tail-end. How to score this...86 on the first day...88 after some time? 87 Points it is. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Nina rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Light straw color it the glass.
On the nose soft aromas of peaches, floral notes.
On the palate dry, fresh acidity, fruity, with mineral notes.
Nice citrusy, lengthy finish.
Very refreshing, would be great with seafood.
The Gavi appellation is in the southeast corner of Piedmont, where hillside vineyards of the Cortese grapes are planted on calcareous-marl soil that inspired the name “Le Marne.” (That little factoid is for the dirt nerds out there.) The wine itself is perfect for summer with its bright aromas of blossoms and peaches, fruit-driven flavours and vibrant acidity. Enjoy it this summer.
