Mocha, juicy, savoury, dark chocolate seduction on the nose and palate. Supple, round, full-bodied and ripely delicious! Aromas of black plum and dark spice with mocha on the finish. The winery tasting room is housed in a former one-room schoolhouse in Paso Robles. Pair with roast beef. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Victoria Mccormick - WSET Level 3 Advance rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I can't say enough about this wine. It is such a great value for $20. It is everything you could possibly want in a big, bold, Californian Ca. It has flavours and aromas of red & dark fruit, dark chocolate, mint, vanilla and spice. Very well integrated tannins and a lovely finish. Enjoy with BBQ steak or Roast beef. Delish!
David Skinner rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark garnet and a tight purple rim. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry and cherry with slightly smoky notes and hints of chocolate. A full bodied and well balanced palate with more dark fruit and medium tannins that give this wine a somewhat creamy mouthfeel . A long finish that has a fruit-forward profile.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 4-6 months on a combination of new and old oak.

Try this with BBQ ribs or just a well-seasoned steak.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Cherry, blueberry and smoke notes with vanilla and some sour cherry candy flavor on the palate. Tannins are soft and the flavor lingers nicely.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blueberry and black pepper. Mellow mouthfeel with chocolate and smoke. Medium tangy finish.
