Delicious! Old World soul with New World fruit in this full-bodied blend of 60% Malbec, 20% Syrah, 20% Bonarda grapes. Lots of energy and intensity with good acidity and some smoky dark fruit on the finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Mark Cochrane Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

I recently tried the 2011 La Pasta Cocina and found it to be quite nice. A dark red blend of Malbec, Syrah and Bonarda. According to the wine label, Bonarda gives the wine it's rustic character which surprisingly describes the tannins. Lots of plum flavour in this wine.
Anna Bazzo rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

The malbec really shines through in this wine with juicy plum flavours, but notes of spicy black pepper are also mixed in. Ripe, velvety tannins for the finish.

Tasting Notes
Purple-colored, it offers notes of cedar, spice box, pencil lead, blueberry, and black cherry. On the palate gamy notes emerge to accompany the sweet fruit. Easy-drinking and seamless.
