Fantastic sauvignon blanc! Fresh and crisp, not too herbals with terrific lime and citrus brightness. Year after year, I love this zesty white! Herbal, but not too grassy: a lovely lime lift on the finish that's ultra-refreshing. Medium-bodied and crisp. Perfect for salads and shellfish. The grapes for this zesty white grow in maritime sub-region of Marlborough known as the Awatere Valley. Try it with vegetarian pizza and creamy cheeses.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: white fish and seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Drink Wine and Giggle Gals rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Drink Wine and GIggle Gals like to play a game we call "Gail Blazers" where we follow a trail of red sticky notes at the local LCBO and pick up a selection "Gail's Picks" (we imagine Gail is an extremely satisfied LCBO employee who often takes her job home with her in a SubZero briefcase). Eradus was the first of three Gail's Picks we purchased and it was a good one. A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc from the relatively harsh maritime subregion of Marlborough known as the Awatere Valley, Eradus has racy acidity that lights tiny firecrackers on the palate. The Drink Wine and Giggle Gals love fireworks and loved this wine that was so unlike our go-to Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. We were definitely not in Kim Crawford (Wairau Valley) Country anymore. It's time to get leafy and zing!
Eradus continues a successful run with this year's Sauvignon Blanc. As usual, it's fairly pungent and herbal upfront, but then delivers waves of passion fruit. It's concentrated and fairly full-bodied for a Sauvignon, with a lingering finish. Eradus Sauvignon Blanc displays a pungent array of tropical fruit and enticing floral notes. This wine is all about power, balance and richness, providing a wide range of ripe fruit characters from passion fruit and white currants to stone fruits.
