The quality designation for this wine is AC -- it's citrus-driven rather than herbal or grassy. Classic Old World Sauvignon Blanc. This winery uses sustainable farming methods. The vines are planted in limestone-clay soils.

Pouilly-Fumé food pairings: pan-seared scallops with grilled asparagus, cheese, pasta with cream-based sauce, pizza, sushi.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A very lovely discovery in this light straw yellow aromatic white from the Pouilly-Fume appellation in the French Loire. On the nose, fragrant white floral and tropical fruit notes, followed by a bright citrus lime and tropical pineapple and guava on the palate. Crisp, mouth-watering acidity, fine balance and a long fruity lime finish make this a total pleasure to drink. The Sauv Blanc grapes used to make this wine are farmed using sustainable farming techniques and the varied soils(clay-limestone, fossilized stones and flint)of the Pouilly-Fume region give rich aromatics and beautiful clear fruit flavours. Easy to see why this wine won Silver at the 2013 Concours Mondial de Sauvignon.

The white limestone pebbles are known as "caillottes, flat fossilized stones and flint, thus the name of this wine. Bottled in the heart of the Les Loges village in the underground cellars. This wine won a Silver Medal winner at the prestigious Concours Mondial du Sauvignon in 2013. - Community Wine reviews
