Full-bodied with robust aromas of black fruit and toasty oak. Fleshy ripe black plums on the finish with some dark spice. This Chilean red wine is made from the country's signature grape Carmenere. Pair with this roast beef.

Carmenère food pairings: thick steaks, veal medallions in a red wine sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Plush and robust, this is a bold wine showing lots of ripe plum and berry on the nose, along with black pepper, wood smoke, and a bit of green spice (jalapeno?). Full bodied, lots of dark berry on the palate as well showing some oak and spice and a lingering finish. Mellows a bit after opening. Enjoy this with a nice BBQ'd steak!
