Natalie's Score: 92/100

From Columbia Valley, Washington, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Indian Wells 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied Cab Sauv. with 13% Syrah, 1% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc added to the mix. Look for ripe dark berry, black cherry, dried fine herbs and delicate spicy flavours on this well-balanced and elegant Cab. Since 1967, Chateau Ste. Michelle have been crafting beautiful wines expressive of their terroir with this example coming from a stellar vintage. Warm fall days allowed for full ripening of the grapes while the cool Washington nights maintained their crisp natural acidity. Grapes were sourced from Horse Heaven Hills, Wahluke Slope and Yakima Valley.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecued steak, grilled lamb chops, hamburger, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Robust and flavourful! Aromas of blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of eucalyptus, mocha, and woody spices. Full bodied, with mouthwatering acidity, and some medium, drying tannins on the palate. Flavours include rounded, ripe dark berries, with more hints of mocha and warm spice hints. Enjoy with grilled meats or mushroom dishes.
