Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

While the term Grand Vin de Bordeaux is not regulated and is assigned by the Château to signal their best wine in their opinion, this one wears the title well. It opens with an enticing nose marked by warm, dried field berries. It has a silky smooth palate with subtle fruit and good balance. Tannins are still very much in play on the finish although they are relatively fine. Medium to full bodied. Medium plus finish. Give it another year or two and it will be an elegant wine to pour with tenderloin. Excellent value. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Château Loumelat Cuvée J.J. Lesgourgues 2015 is an elegant Bordeaux red produced from 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the Côtes De Bordeaux - Blaye wine region. Fresh dark plum, blackberry, savoury herb and dark spice flavours mouth-watering on the palate. Tannins are firm. Showing great promise, but hold on to it for another year or two for it to marry and mellow. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
