So savoury, juicy and meaty -- layers of pleasure. This WO-designated wine is smooth, smoky and delicious with full-bodied layers of fleshy black plums. Amazingly great price for the quality. This wine is a blend that leads with cabernet sauvignon, but also includes shiraz and merlot grapes. Just enough toasty oak aging to bring this whole delicious package together. Good finish. Try it tonight with meat lovers pizza.

Food pairings: roast beef, Porchetta, slow-cooked venison ribs.

Triptych (2014) from the Western Cape in South Africa is a full-bodied red blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Shiraz, 13% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc. This wine was aged for 14 months in oak barrels. KWV, the company behind Cathedral Cellar, was founded by South African wine farmers in 1918 - the year Nelson Mandela was born - and has been a central part of that country's wine history ever since. - Community Wine Reviews
