Casa Natal Gran Reserva Malbec offers concentrated aromas of cassis, violet and hints of toasted hazelnut. It's dry and full-bodied with a supple texture. Serve it at room temperature with herb-roasted turkey breast where the wine's rich fruit complements the savory herbs while its polished tannins balance the tender meat, or cellar it through 2034. Casa Natal translates to "birthplace," honoring Agrelo in Mendoza where Argentina's modern wine movement began in the early 1900s when Italian and French immigrants first planted high-altitude vineyards at the base of the Andes Mountains. The estate's hand-picked grapes benefit from the region's dramatic diurnal temperature swings, which produce excellent fruit concentration and structured tannins. This versatile wine also pairs beautifully with grilled eggplant and mozzarella stacks drizzled with balsamic reduction, where the wine's intensity matches the charred vegetables while its fresh acidity cuts through the cheese's creamy richness.

Malbec food pairings: roast turkey, Manchego cheese, roasted peppers, eggplant and mozza melts.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
