Black fruit and charred toasty oak on the nose and palate of this full-bodied BC red wine. A bit hot on the palate from the alcohol. Supple, with good cellar aging capability.

Food pairings: grilled steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A serious wine with incredible richness of black fruit matched gloriously with complex oak. Full heavy mouthfeel with berries and new oak. A beautifully evolving wine. Wonderful now, but three more years in cellar would result in an even higher score from me.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2012 vintage Burrowing Owl is 14.5% ABV, rich and seductive. Recommend enjoying this seductive red with rare AAA Angus beef steak.
