Wines come and go, but Barolo lasts forever. This Barolo from Northern Italy is still quite tannic with ripe dark fruit, dried fig, leather and tobacco leaf on the palate? and made from the classic Nebbiolo grape. Aromas of black fruit, dried tobacco leaves and dark spice. Pair with risotto truffled dishes.

Barolo food pairings: game burgers, beef steak, rack of lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 92/100
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied, tannic red wine made from the Nebbiolo grape. The bouquet is beautiful - balanced notes of red fruit, tobacco, spice and floral. The palate is quite sophisticated with well rounded flavors of dark red fruit, figs, vanilla, baking spice and anise. Round, well supported, silky tannins. Stoke the fire, put your feet up and enjoy. Cellar worthy.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas are moderately expressive showing dominant spearmint, herbal tea leaves and winter spice notes. The palate shows tart cherry, anise, black tea flavours with a grippy tannic backbone balanced by juicy high acidity and a long dry cherry spice finish. Beni Di Batasiolo Riserva (2007) is a Barolo made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from the Piedmont wine region. Full-bodied, with great acidity and still quite tannic this wine is showing, ripe black fruit, dried tobacco leaves and dark spice on the nose. On the palate, the wine is ripe berries, rose petals with liquorice and cinnamon spice. Great structure and balance. - Community Wine Reviews
