Reviews and Ratings

Jisun Hahn CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a silky pinot noir with a medium plus body that has wonderful notes of sweet vanilla, ripe dark cherry and turned earth. Would be a lovely choice to pair with beef bourguignon or lamb stew. Enjoy now or age for the next 3 to 5 years.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This opens with aromas of somewhat candied black cherry notes and has pronounced juicy, black cherry and vanilla on the palate. Rich and full-bodied, this would be marvelous with spicy lamb dishes. Tasted Nov 22, 2019 www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From Monterey County, California, the Pinot Noir is unfined and unfiltered, so some decanting will settle the light sediment. Raspberry and vanilla aromas. Well-balanced for a full-bodied wine that can be enjoyed now or aged. Lamb dishes will pair well, as well as beef.
From the Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, California, Belle Glos Les Alturas Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016 is produced by Joseph J. Wagner. Look for rich layers of black cherry, crushed raspberry, red plum, cedar spice and vanilla-toffee flavours on this fairly robust PN. Lovely now. - Community Wine Reviews
