Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

By my handle (unoakedchard) you can easily tell that I looove Chardonnay in every expression. While Bartier Bros Pristine Chardonnay is not overly complex, it is elegant, fresh, clean, easy to enjoy and yes, “pristine.” Dry, medium-bodied, fresh and finessed, it is almost Chablish with citrus zest, light herbs, fresh hay and minerally notes from beginning to end. Tasted July 2025.

Bartier Bros Pristine Series of wines are the winery’s answer to their vineyard freeze up in January 2024 and the “miniscule harvest” for that year. A ‘crafted in B.C. wine’ Pristine Chardonnay 2024 is produced from grapes sourced from 40-year-old vines from Soaring Eagle Vineyard, Wahluke Slope AVA, Washington State, Columbia Valley.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
