Baron de Hoen Réserve Pinot Gris from Alsace displays aromas of ripe yellow apple, white peach, acacia flower and a hint of toasted almond. It's off-dry and medium-bodied with creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity that keeps the wine elegant rather than heavy through a long, satisfying finish. Serve it well-chilled alongside pad Thai where the wine's slight sweetness tames the spice while the acidity cuts through the rich peanut sauce, or pair it with veal scaloppine in cream sauce where the wine's richness echoes the dish's texture while the bright acidity balances the savory flavors. The winemaking team at Cave de Beblenheim, a cooperative founded in 1952 that unites 170 grower families across five communes in the heart of Alsace, crafts this 100% Pinot Gris from grapes grown on soils rich in marl, clay and limestone in the foothills of the Vosges Mountains, where the region's unique continental microclimate protected by the mountains creates ideal conditions for this variety. Baron de Hoen represents the flagship brand of Cave de Beblenheim, which achieved High Environmental Value certification at Level 3 in 2021, and the winery produces four Grands Crus from Beblenheim and neighboring communes while exporting 35% of production to countries worldwide including the Netherlands, Great Britain, Switzerland, Belgium, the United States, Canada and Australia. Enjoy this expressive Pinot Gris through 2030.

Pinot Gris food pairings: mild curries, pad Thai, veal in white wine sauce.
