Craig Haynes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The heart wants what it wants. Today, it wanted cool climate Pinot Noir from Ontario. I listened. This estate tier PN from Westcott Vineyard satisfied my heart’s desires.

How come? It is because every sniff and sip of the creation entertained my senses with its notes like ripe red cherry and raspberry, singed cedar, dried herbs, and savoury spices. Because it has a lovely, low key aromatic appeal that sings cool climate goodness. Because, in the mouth, it is lively, juicy, and velvety teamed up with pleasing desert-level dryness.

Is this Pinot elegant? Yes. Is it delicious? Absolutely. Enjoy.

If appellation awareness is your cake, read on. This Pinot Noir hails from the Niagara Escarpment, one of Ontario’s wine appellations. The Niagara Escarpment is an appellation within another appellation, the Niagara Peninsula. The Niagara Escarpment has 25 wineries at the time I wrote this note.

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Stunning Pinot Noir from the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. This Estate Pinot Noir is fruit blended from two estate vineyards, the Westcott Home Farm vineyard and Butlers' Grant vineyard. Aromas of dark cherry and raspberry, along with notes of clove, sous bois, sweet tobacco, and hints of cedar. Medium bodied, with bright acidity, lightly gripping tannins, and vibrant bright berry notes on the palate. Hints of spice, smoke, and more herbal hints on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with mushroom dishes, or pan-seared duck.
