Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

On the nose, this bright Chardonnay has caramelized pineapple, white peach, mineral notes, sweet spice, and rich nutty aromas. It is crisp with vibrant acidity and has a certain opulence on the palate. In terms of flavours, we have ripe peach, lemon, lime, and honey, as well as a long nutty almond finish. Overall, a very nice product.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Pale lemon colour with the glistening reflections. Aromas of pink grapefruit, lemon, green caramel apple and banana. Flavours are sublime: yellow apple, pear and hints of soft wood spice with white pepper on the finish. An oily mouthfeel with medium acidity, medium minus body and finish. Delightfully and deliciously decadent. Pair with extra creamy soft cheese, butter poached lobster and scallops.

Natalie's Review

Far Niente Chardonnay 2015, Napa Valley, California, United States: Luscious and rich with layers of orchard fruit flavour. Terrific balance in this classic Californian Chardonnay, with green apple and toasted almond aromas. Nice acidity and a mouth-filling richness on the mid-palate. Pair with roast turkey. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
