Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tasted in 2021. Aromas of tart cherry and raspberry, with hints of raisin, warm spice and leather. Medium bodied, with medium+ acidity, and a hint of tartness, lots of earthy and leather hints, balanced with vibrant tart fruit and red berry hints. Enjoy with charcuterie and firm cheese.
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rustic dried sage, tobacco and stewed red plum aromas dominate the nose while big bold tannins and tart cherry, dried sage, cured meats and anise dominate the palate. This wine calls for tomato-based dishes. Enjoy this medium+ bodied Chianti with veal cacciatore. Tasted Sep 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Red berries, cherry, eucalyptus, leather and baking spice on the nose and palate, smooth tannins and a lingering dark fruit finish. Enjoy with a wild mushroom risotto. Great value!

Natalie's Review

Carpineto Riserva Chianti Classico 2012, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: The 2012 vintage of the Carpineto Riserva Chianti Classico is dry farmed on hillside vineyards and is a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes aged in oak casks for 1 year. Gorgeous balance and richness in this signature Chianti Classico. Aromas of sun-dried tomato, dark, tart cherry and earth. Try it with meat dishes involving tomato sauce. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
