Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lovely blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, showing great dark red fruit, smoke, and pepper on the nose. The palate is expressive with red fruit, prune, cocoa and a cool herbaceousness - great with a grilled steak steak salad.

Natalie's Review

Smoke & Gamble Reserve Cabernet Merlot 2015, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Full-bodied, fairly smooth Ontario red wine blend of 49.5% merlot, 37.2% cabernet sauvignon and 13.3% cabernet sauvignon grapes. This wine is 100% barrel aged which adds lots of toasty oak, smoke and vanilla spice to the flavour profile. Pair with meat lovers' pizza. Drink: 2016-2019. 491589 13% XD 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 89/100. September 30, 2017 Magnificent Meat Pizza Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
