Needs to breathe! Better second day.
Trevor Sabourin rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Some bricking at the edge. Lots of stewed, jammy fruit: raspberry jam, prune, cassis, and stewed dark cherry. Roasted bell pepper, menthol, coffee, cocoa, brown sugar, cigar box, cedar, and smoke. Repeats on the palate, with slightly fresher fruit, and most of those sweet flavours coming from the warming 15% alcohol. Soft but present tannins and smooth, warm texture. Good length, with dark cherry, prune, mocha, tobacco, and spice lingering. Acidity could be slightly higher for better balance, but overall the balance is decent given the high alcohol. A wine for hearty stews and the like.

Natalie's Review

Falernia Reserva Carmenère 2012, Elqui Valley, Chile: Blackberry and purple plum liqueur richness and concentration on the nose and palate of this robust Chilean red wine. Full-bodied and smooth with terrific depth. This is a very meaty wine, and a terrific one at this price point. It would go beautifully with prime rib, a juicy steak or conversations well past midnight. Drink: 2012-2017. 269175 15% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. January 24, 2015 Best Value Red Wine. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
