Natalie's Score: 87/100

Clean, green apple brightness on the nose and acidity on the palate. No oak, very refreshing. Usually white wines from Burgundy are made from the chardonnay grape, so this is a refreshing change with sauvignon blanc. There's only the one producer of this wine in Saint-Bris, about 10 miles southeast of Chablis. Finishes with wet stone, Granny Smith apple and chives. Enjoy with vegetarian dishes and seafood.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: ratatouille, grilled white fish with a lemon-dill sauce, squash soup, salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Very fragrant gooseberry and lemon. Palate sparkles with lemon and gooseberry, slight asparagus and herbal hints. Mouth-watering acidity, lingering citrus finish. Perfect to accompany a shrimp salad or fresh oysters.
Tasted Feb. 2017
This is a stunning, well-structured and crafted Sauvignon Blanc from the little appellation of Saint Bris. William Fevre (2015) is clean, green apple with bright acidity on the palate. No oak and very refreshing. There's only the one producer of this wine in Saint-Bris and not far from Chablis. - Community Wine Reviews
