A delicious, full-bodied BC red wine with attractive aromas of espresso, dark chocolate, smoke and black fruit on the nose. This is a robust blend of 50% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Petite Verdot grapes. Finishes with flavours of cassis and black licorice. Pair with game dishes.

Food pairings: red meat, tomato based pasta dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Robust and full of flavour!! This lovely Meritage is blended from 50% Merlot, 32% Petite Verdot, and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas include lots of dark fruit, eucalyptus, chocolate, coffee, cedar and smoke. Full bodied, bright acidity, structured tannins, and nice balance of fruit, spicy and smoky notes. Enjoy with braised beef short ribs.
