A superb Late Bottled Vintage Port with very complex and rich layers yet not heavy. Aromas of blackberry preserves, smoke and dark spice. So satisfying and soul warming. Please pass the bottle and that bowl of toasted nuts.

Food pairings: fruit filled pastries, chocolate cake, ice cream, crème brûlée..

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Aromatic decadence with raisins, stewed fruit, honey and toffee on the nose. Luscious palate gives velvety layers of toffee, stewed fruit, Christmas cake, sweet baking spices, dark chocolate, honey and tea. Rich and sumptuous. A great gift for the holidays!
Tasted November 2015.
Warre's is the original British port house and specializes in port styles of Quintas, Cavadinha, Retiro and Telhada. It's owned by the Symington family for four generations. The 2003 vintage of this Late Bottled Vintage Port is a blend of native Douro grapes. The wine was not filtered and bottled in 2007 with a cork. There are 105 grams per litre of residual sugar. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
