Wakefield 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is amazing value under $20. Love the ripe, dark spiced plum, savoury herbs and dark chocolate aromas on this Cab. Dry, medium-plus-bodied and well-balanced with vibrant acidity, there are layers of ripe dark fruits, blackberry, plum, mint, dark chocolate and fine dried herbs mouth-filling, supple and long on the palate.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes, hard cheese, juicy rare steak, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 91/100
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of black currant, mocha, eucalyptus, sweet spice and tobacco with a hint of leather. Full bodied with smooth, soft tannins, bright acidity and some jammy black fruit on the palate, along with more warm spicy and menthol notes, and a lengthy finish with that mocha hint. Enjoy with grilled beef kebabs.
