A robust BC red wine made from the Petit Verdot grape, one of the five grapes traditionally in Bordeaux blends, but not usually a stand-alone grape. Aromas of blackened fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

VinAmite's Petit Verdot (2015) is a deep dark, really dark Delish red. This South Okanagan winery definitely does know how to do Petit Verdot. On the nose, the wine is pronounced with bacon (yep, real Canadian bacon), barnyard, mulberry and dried red cherries. The Petit Verdot is dry, medium-bodied with medium acidity and weighty on the mid-palate with ripe mulberry fruit, dried red cherries and finishing long with touch of nutmeg and vanilla spice. Drinking well now and for the next three years (tasted October 2018). Pair with a garlic roast of pork.
