Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Vina Olabarri Crianza 2016, from the Rioja Valley of Spain, shows pleasing drinkability. Aromas of sour cherry, dried blueberry, dried rose, parmesan cheese, tobacco, dark chocolate and cedar. Made from 100% Tempranillo, Vina Olabarri reveals polished tannins and enjoyable acidity. The finish is dry with a touch of oak. Palate: cherry, strawberry sauce, mustard seed, cocoa, cinnamon and cedar. Great wine to sip with friend. Enjoy!
From the Rioja wine region, Viña Olabarri Crianza 2016 is produced from `00% Tempranillo, a Rioja classic with dark cherry, vanilla and toasted oak aromas on the nose. Dry with red plum, red berry, vanilla and toasty oak spice flavour on the palate. Firms tannins and good acidity for food. Pair with a roast of pork. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
