Produced by Paul Hobbs, Viña Cobos Felino 2016 is a medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mendoza. Love the red berry. dark berry, dark chocolate, savoury dried herbs and black olive flavours on this CS. Finishing long and satisfying. Tannins are fine. Enjoy with roast chicken and slow-braised beef long ribs.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecued steaks, roast leg of lamb, gourmet burgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Full bodied with black fruit, and currants, tobacco leaf and mocha. Great value. Firm but attractive tannins that would enjoy decanting. Try with seared tuna steaks with black bean sauce. @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Note- a very well priced Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina. Full-bodied with plum aromas and a sweet tobacco lift. Medium tannins and a long, flavourful finish. Pair with rare roast beef. Decant for several hours.
A fantastic value, medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mendoza. Aromatic with red berry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, black olive and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are fine and carry the wine along for a lengthy finish. Pair with a gourmet burger and all the fixings. - Community Wine Reviews
