Reviews and Ratings

Brent Gushowaty rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The nose holds aromas of plum, licorice, graphite and smoke. On the palate it shows pencil lead, plum skin, plum flesh and smoke. The finish is long. For me, the frisson here is the unexpected resonance between the rich plummy fruit that seems stacked immediately beside the other distinctly savoury/exotic elements - unusual and delightful.
B - B+ ~ 93

Aging for 18 months in new French oak (20%) and new American oak (10%) in combination with second use oak (70%). Bottled in November 2017. Unfined and unfiltered.

The Bramare series of wines are drawn from two growing regions in Mendoza-Luján de Cuyo and the Valle de Uco.
BJ Oudman rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

With grapes sourced exclusively from the almost desert like Luján de Cuyo appellation, expect rounder and riper fruit than from the cooler Uco Valley appellation. More typical expression of Argentinian malbec with a dark, savoury and full body. Upfront dark fruit, subtle spice and chocolate with a persistent finish. Perfect choice for any leaner cut of grilled meat.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
