From the Ribera Del Duero wine region. Villacreces Pruno 2016 is a robust red wine blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard where the Tempranillo wine grapes are grown is next to the legendary Vega Sicilia. Layers of ripe red berries, earthy florals, underbrush, savoury spice flavours wrapped up in smoke. Pair with grilled lamb chops.

Food pairings: roast beef, roast veal, hamburgers, venison stew.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pruno 2016, from the Bodegas Villacreces, is a perfect every day wine, made from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon; two of the most greatest grapes. This blend provides aromas of sour cherry, fig, black pepper, pastrami, tobacco and cedar. Full-bodied with chewy tannins, this Spaniard will please with a red meat dish or with strong cheese. Dry and well staged finish, the palate reveals tart cherry, tart plum, dried leaves, earthy note, dill and cedar. Enjoy.
