A soft, light-bodied Niagara Riesling with mild acidity. Tzafona translates to northward in the ancient Hebrew language. This kosher Riesling offers aromas of golden apple and white pear. Match with seafood.

Riesling food pairings: pork schnitzels, grilled lemon-herb chicken, mildly spiced dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lovely, light and refreshing. Aromas of golden apple, pear, and mineral hints. Lighter bodied on the palate, off dry with hints of citrus and stone fruit on the palate, balanced with medium acidity and some mineral hints. Enjoy with chicken or fish dishes.
Craig Haynes WSET3 FWS SWS rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Crafted from riesling grown in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula appellation, this kosher white wine displayed light touch features. Hushed aromas and flavours of citrus and stone fruit. Light bodied. Lighter side acidity, too. Don’t like bold style riesling? Try this. Enjoy.

From the Niagara Peninsula, Tzafona Cellar Cold Climate 2017 Kosher Riesling is fresh with crisp green apple, lemon zest and stone fruit flavours on the palate. In the ancient Hebrew tongue, the word "Tzafona" means "northward" - appropriate for where the Riesling grapes are grown. - Community Wine Reviews
