Two Sisters Vineyards Margo Rosé from the Niagara River V.Q.A. is a dry, light-to-medium-bodied rosé of real elegance and Niagara character, blended from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown on select lots from the estate's 130 acres of vines in the warmth-retaining Niagara River sub-appellation, opening with an inviting nose of freshly sliced nectarine, hibiscus tea, wild strawberry compote and a thread of pink peppercorn that carries through to a silky, mineral-textured palate with a delicately floral, lingering finish. Winemaker Adam Pearce harvests these red-variety lots specifically for the Margo, pressing gently to extract only the most delicate blush of colour and the freshest aromatic expression the grapes have to offer. Named after one of the founding Marotta family's beloved names and rooted in the Italian-influenced winery culture that sisters Melissa Marotta-Paolicelli and Angela Marotta established in Niagara-on-the-Lake in 2015, Two Sisters was awarded Best Small Winery in Canada at the National Wine Awards, and the estate's Eleventh Post 2020 red blend earned a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, signalling that Niagara's ambitions reach well beyond what the world expects of the region. Serve it well chilled alongside a salad of mixed greens, goat cheese and sliced strawberries with a champagne vinaigrette, where the wine's delicate fruit and floral lift make an effortlessly pretty match; it is equally lovely with freshwater shrimp and watercress finger sandwiches, the wine's mineral texture and clean acidity bringing out the sweetness of the shrimp. Enjoy through 2029.

Rosé food pairings: salads, freshwater shrimp and watercress finger sandwiches, roast turkey.
