Trapiche Gran Medalla 2017 Malbec is a full-bodied, powerful and juicy Malbec with fleshy dark cherry, ripe blueberry, dark plum, cedar and savoury spice on the palate. Finishes spicy and smooth. Just outstanding.

Malbec food pairings: roasted game meats, tourtière, boeuf bourguignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Malbec is so smooth and full of flavour! Aromas of blackberry and blueberry, along with hints of dried herbs and warm spicy notes. Full bodied on the palate, with soft, drying tannins and medium+ acidity. Fruit flavours are plush and ripe, and there are notes of cedar, smoke, and spice on the palate and the lengthy finish as well. Enjoy with any roasted or grilled meats.
Trapiche Gran Medalla 2017 Malbec is outstanding. So smooth with a mouthful of blackberry, blueberry, cedar brush, smoky and spicy with a long, smooth and silky finish. Tannins are structured and grippy. So good now and will continue to evolve and mellow out over the next year or two. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews
