A refined and harmonious red blend that showcases expressive fruit and thoughtful structure. It opens with aromas of blackcurrant, plum and dark cherry with hints of cedar, baking spice and subtle herb. The palate is medium- to full-bodied, dry and balanced, with juicy dark fruit, smooth tannins and polished acidity that carry through to a long, elegant finish at about 13.5% alcohol. This wine reflects the Provenance Series focus on vineyard-specific fruit and regional expression. Fascinating fact: Township?7’s?Provenance Series highlights single-vineyard or select block fruit to showcase terroir character, and this Cabernet-Merlot blend brings both varietals together for depth and harmony. Serve it at cool room temperature.

Cabernet Merlot food pairings: roasted pork loin, tomato-based pasta, grilled portobello mushrooms, herbed lamb meatballs.

Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Love this superb Cabernet Merlot from Township 7 Vineyards and Winery. From the winery's Provenance Series, the 2022 Cab Merlot is absolutely stunning and their best one yet! A beautiful composition of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot, it is a spot on pairing with sirloin steak from the grill.

Dry, medium-plus-bodied and gorgeous with aromas of fresh violets, dark plum, dark cherry, cassis, a hint of mint, a touch of spice, it finishes long on the palate with a smattering of cocoa, framed with supple, fine-grained tannins. Enjoy it now through 2032. Tasted December 2025.
