A deeply concentrated, dark and brooding wine with great depths of flavour and complexity. This towering Spanish red wine made from the classic Cabernet Sauvignon grape. The grapes for this lusciously ripe Cabernet grow on vines planted on the Mas la Palana estate. Aromas of blackberry jam, dark spice and some pepper. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Crafted in Spain’s Penedes appellation, this cabernet sauvignon had much to share. Dense ruby and bricky hues. Ripe, stewed dark fruit, herb and cola scents. Delicious, dark berry preserves pleasantly touched with herbal notes on a mid-weight palate featuring elegant supple tannins. Pair with a decadent dressed bacon and bluecheese burger. Enjoy.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Fantastic value and currently on sale! Aromas of blackberry, currant, eucalyptus, and peppery spice. Bold and full-bodied on the palate with some smooth tannins, lots of ripe berry flavours, and a bit of smoky spice on the finish. Enjoy with a grilled steak or grilled mushrooms.
