SUPERIORE /Lots of mouth-watering acidity and sour cherry on the nose and palate. Cries out for a tangy tomato sauce. MINE: Tommasi Rafaèl 2015 is a Valpolicella Classico Superiore from the Veneto wine region. Since 1902, this family has been making wine in the viticultural region of Valpolicella Classica. This wine is made from local indigenous grapes: Corvina, Rondinella and Molina. The wine is aged for 15 months in Slovenian oak. This is a medium-plus bodied red with dark cherry, chocolate and savoury spice flavours on the palate met with mouth-watering acidity. Great food wine. Pair with hard cheeses, pasta with a rich meat and tomato sauce. OTHER: Dried strawberries, glazed cherries, dried spices and herbs. Medium to full body, a firm, red-fruited core and a medium chewy finish. Drink now. Score - 91 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Nov. 25, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
