Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Wow! Love this bright and beautifully crafted 2022 Riesling from Tightrope Winery. Soooo crisp and juicy, and perfect for a hot August day on the patio.

Delicately fragrant with aromas of lime-lemon zest, soft stone fruit and pineapple notes; on the palate, this absolutely dry, medium-bodied Riesling comes through with bright green apple, lime leaf, pineapple, a hint of tropical fruit balanced with spot-on acidity, brilliant and long on the finish.

Grapes are sustainably grown and hand-harvested from the winery's estate Fleet Road Vineyard. After 14 hours of skin contact, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed into stainless-steel tank with a cool-fermentation between 11 – 14 °C to maximize freshness and fruit flavours and that also took 30 days to complete. Some residual sugar (1.58 g/l) was allowed and gives this refined Riesling a beautiful balance of acidity and a note of sweetness to the wine. Tasted August 2023.
