A terrific Bordeaux red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from winemaker Jean-Luc Thunévin. Aromas of fleshy ripe blueberry and blackberry with anise on the finish. Robust and delicious. Decant 1 hour and pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: roast pheasant, grilled tenderloin steak, bison burgers.

Winemaker, Jean-Luc Thunevin from the Saint Émilion region started the ‘garage wine’ movement; wines made in small quantities with intense fruit concentration and power, and in Thunevin’s case, it was literally in the garage of his house Bad boy 2015 is Merlot, Cabernet Franc red wine blend produced by Jean-Luc Thunévin with wine grapes sourced from Haut-Mazeris (Fronsac) estate, Compassant (Génissac) estate. The wine was aged for one year and a half in new French oak. Look for full-on dark berry, plum and cake spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are chewy. Decant and drink. - Community Wine Reviews
