Ahead By A Century 2017 Chardonnay is produced by Stoney Ridge Estate Winery. This wine was first created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Tragically Hip's classic album "Trouble at the Henhouse." Look for leesy, zesty lemon, crisp apple and some tropical fruit flavours on this dry Chard finishing with butterscotch and toasty vanilla from oak ageing. Chill and enjoy now with a roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: mushroom and onion risotto, grilled pork sausage, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Butterscotch, apple and tropical fruit nose. Rich flavours of tropical fruit and toasted oak on palate with a twist of lemon.
Tasted Dec. 2018
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A solid and typical Chardonnay, oak firm and present, fruit ripe and pleasant. Apple and pear share the spotlight with vanilla, butter, and cream. Medium body with crisp acidity. Needs a good food pairing to match the intensity of the wine. Seafood alfredo would be delightful, and give the acidity a chance to cut through the cream.
