The Juice Wine Company Chardonnay from Ontario’s Twenty Mile Bench is a dry, medium-bodied wine with a silky texture and moderate alcohol. It bursts with flavours of crisp pear, lemon zest, and a gentle brush of oak—think toasted almond and a whisper of cream. The finish is clean and bright, making it a versatile choice for food. Serve it chilled with roast chicken, grilled trout, or a simple mushroom risotto. The wine's freshness lifts the dish while its roundness keeps pace with creamy textures. The fruit is grown on mineral-rich, limestone-laced soils. The winery is quickly becoming a go-to for polished, small-lot wines that punch well above their weight. Full disclosure, it's owned by my good friend and fellow wine communicator Angela Aiello. Congrats Ange, you've done an amazing job! If this Chardonnay were a person, it would be that friend who manages to look effortlessly stylish even while carrying a bag of groceries uphill.

Chardonnay food pairings: lobster in butter sauce, grilled fish, chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a lovely Chardonnay, simultaneously delicate but also full of flavour. Aromas on the nose include yellow apple, golden pear, and warm, citrusy lemon notes. Medium bodied on the palate, with more of those warm citrus and orchard fruit flavours, with a finish showing hints of warm baking spices, and a touch of honey. Lovely! Enjoy with pan seared scallops or baked halibut.
