Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gewurztraminer like you probably haven't tried before! Aromas of crabapple, orange blossom and a bit of pithy lemon. Dry on the palate, smooth and creamy from aging on lees, ripe and rounded citrus flavours, medium acidity, and a hit of ginger on the finish. Fun fact: these grapes were grown by the winemaker's vet. Enjoy with wine with roasted chicken or turkey.
This vineyard being close to Jason himself personally, he wanted to take this plot and grape to a next level so he aged the wine in two old French puncheons, were he kept it on their lees for 10 months with daily lees stirring going on. Effectively dry, in the sense it has no sugar, this Gew the way it’s meant to be.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
