Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a beautiful nose of dusty violets and eucalyptus floating on top of black fruit. Plenty of cassis and dark, rich fruit on the palate, perhaps a hint on the candied side. Overall, a rich, silky smooth, fruity pour. Drinking well now but will hold for another few years. Enjoy with lamb shanks or burgers. Good value. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Produced by winemaker, Kym Teusner, The Gentleman 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, with juicy cassis, blackberry, savoury smooth and elegant on the palate. Wine grapes are sourced from David Forrest’s vineyard high up in the Eden Valley around 400 metres above sea level, one of the highest points in the Barossa region. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
