The tannins have tamed in this northern Italian red wine made from the Sangiovese grape. Loads of acidity on the palate for tangy meat sauces.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: roast leg of boar, meat lasagne, tourtière.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I absolutely love this wine! A garnet coloured Italian wine with aromas of ripe strawberries, autumn leaves, underwood, truffle, and hints of eucalyptus leaves. It has a bit of heat and leans towards the dark berry spectrum on the palate with blackcurrant flavours and roasted cocoa beans. It has velvety tannins, a beautiful harmony, and is very well made!

Tasted November 2017
From the Tuscany wine region, Terralsole Vigna Pian Bossolino (2010) is a full-bodied, complex and rich Brunello Di Montalcino with a red berry, truffle and cedar spice nose. Tannins are resolved and on the palate the wine is rich with dried red berries, cocoa and spice. Drink now and pair with a rich and meaty lasagne. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
