From Tenuta San Guido, Guidalberto 2019 is a fresh, full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon fragrant with violets, lavender and minty aromas; fresh and elegant on the palate with cassis, anise, wild herbs, citrus and saline mineral flavours. Tannins are polished. Produced by the renown Sassicaia winery. Good now, better in 2022.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

An elegant fullbodied blend of 60% Cab Sauv, 40% Merlot, crafted at the same estate in Tuscany that makes Sassicaia. Shows fragrant violets, dark berries, plum and herbal aromas. The palate is supple and flavourful, with blackcurrant, plum, herbal mint, licorice and slight notes of mushroom and tobacco.
Refreshing acidity, firm tannins and a lingering finish. Drink now or hold.
Enjoy with your favourite prime roast beef or rack of lamb.
Tasted Nov. 2022.
