Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied, flavourful red blend from Portugal's Douro Valley, showing ripe dark red fruit, sweet spice and slight florals. Crafted from low-yielding indigenous vines. Pair with winter meat casseroles and hard cheeses.
Tasted Feb. 2019
From Symington Family Estates Altano 2016 is fantastic value under $15. Black cherry liqueur, earthy florals and savoury spice aromas on the nose, a smooth and full-bodied dry, rich red wine blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca from the Douro wine region with fresh red berry, red plum and cherry fruit flavours on the palate. Easy to enjoy with a charcuterie board and hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
