This Niagara white wine is made from Chardonnay grapes and is named for winemaker Sue-Ann Staff's great great grandfather Elisha Staff. This wine was aged in French oak barrels. Aromas of freshly baked bread with melting butter, golden apples and almond. Full-bodied and luscious. Pair with roasted chicken and turkey.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A mighty and delectable nose with a broad range of aromatics. Buttery and oaky at first, then melon, pineapple, and pear. A dry, rich, and full wine leading with a strong line of vanilla flavour before ripe apple, lemon zest, hazelnut, and toasted almond, with underlying lees character and subtle mineral notes. This is an excellent Chardonnay with tremendous value. A small 120 case run put through a cool ferment in stainless steel before a nine month stay in 500 litre French oak casks. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered. A top notch pairing for roasted chicken or turkey with gravy and stuffing, creamy seafood pasta, or herbed pork tenderloin.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Loved this rich, round creamy and buttery chard. Well balanced, full bodied, medium acidity. Blanched almond croissant, baked apple persistence. Pairs with roasted or bbq chicken. Tasted 2016 vintage in May 2018. 90 points
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

Fresh crisp yummy chard! Don’t like oak? Neither do I! This Sue-Ann Staff Chardonnay exudes summer patio bliss showcasing clean citrus, green apple and stone fruit notes. Enjoy this refreshing chardonnay with taco salads. Tasted May 2018 by @sommsosa.
