Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Fantastic harmony on Singletree Winery's Harness 2015. This is a full-bodied, rich and luxurious 52% Merlot and 48% Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend with liquid cassis, dark berries, meaty and cedar spice aromas on the nose. Smooth, weighty and mouth-coating with blueberry, mulberry, cassis, dried tobacco, mushroom and smooth vanilla flavours finishing long on the palate. Savoury and elegant with fine-grained tannins. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes were punched down by hand and barrel-aged for 18 months prior to blending and bottling. Pair with a beef tenderloin and sautéed wild mushrooms. This vintage was awarded Silver at the 2018 National Wine Awards of Canada.

Owned by the Etsell family, the winery was named after the Singletree single-harness yolk horses wore in the 1800s to help clear farmland.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
