Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

A hefty wine in every respect, that exudes power and finesse. It's crammed full of heady black fruit and spice flavours with a concentrated perfume that is reminiscent of pine needles and rose petals. An astonishing length that is delicate right til the end of the last beautiful sip. Try with grilled rib eye on the bone with truffle butter. @wrightwineblog
From Napa Valley, California Silver Oak 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied and intense red wine blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 2% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Malbec matured in white American oak barrels. Fragrant with aromas of black cherry, pipe tobacco, cocoa and savoury herbs on the nose. Full-bodied and mouth-filling with black currant, red berry, dark chocolate, cherry, coconut and vanilla flavours creamy on the palate. Demands a well-marbled ribeye steak grilled rare. A good cellaring candidate for 15 years or more. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
