A fragrant, savoury and plushy Merlot, full-bodied with ripe plum, dark fruit, cherry, raspberry, chocolate, wood spice and earthy, smoky flavours on the palate. Tannins are supple. Seven Falls sources their grapes exclusively from the Wahluke Slope, which is one of the warmest, driest regions in Washington's Columbia Valley.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe plum and blackberry, with hints of vanilla and smoke. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with ripe berry and fruit flavour, along with some concentrated dried fruit. Tannins are soft and the texture of this wine is smooth and plush. Enjoy with braised beef in red wine.
From the Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley wine region, Seven Falls Cellars 2016 Merlot is spicy on the nose with dark plum, blueberry, cedar brush and savoury herb aromas. The 100% Merlot is rich and concentrated with ripe dark plum, smoky vanilla and mocha flavours finishing spicy and creamy on the palate. So good now. - Community Wine Reviews
