A rustic, robust wine with a firm tannic grip. Sour cherry notes. Decant 2 hours and it might smooth out. Pair with a tangy tomato sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro, Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Grenache from Sardegna. Blackberry, cherry, earthy mushroom, soft milk chocolate and suede leather boot. On the palate red cherry with stem, ripe blueberry with a hint of marshmallow and chocolate. Touches of earthy compost and wet leaves. medium plus acidity with a touch of jalapeno on the full finish. Medium plus body. Well balanced. Pair with braised beef stew and wild boar. 91 points - June 2017

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
