Spicy, peppery but not heavy. Mouth-watering juicy lovely. The Seghesio Zinfandel is one of Californian's best Zins. It packed with jammy black fruit.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Floral and fruity upfront but spicy on the finish. If you aren't into the heavy full-bodied Zins then the Seghesio is your pick. The palate shows high acidity and well-integrated tannins with a long minty finish. Enjoy pairing with spicy beef tartar. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2014 Seghesio Sonoma County Zin is well-balanced and ready to enjoy. Built with lots of blackberry fruit and tart pomegranate. Great acidity and fruit, medium tannins, this wine will age well over the next 5-10 years yet I see little reason to wait to enjoy as it is drinking well now. Pairs well with rich Texan BBQ wings, Tex mex Nachos, braised pulled pork. Tasted Nov 2016 - @jonsteeves rated 90/100 bespoketastings.ca
This wine has been produced since 1895 and today the vines are ancient at about 30 years old. Serious zin for fun barbecues. The grapes for this Zinfandel grow in vineyards planted in the Alexander Valley and Dry Creek in Sonoma. Pair with gourmet hamburgers. - Community Wine Reviews
